OneBlockRace is the most unpredictable gamemode on Coding-Area. Each player stands on their own platform above the void. Every few seconds a random item appears, and that is what you build your bridge with. You cannot predict what is coming: sometimes something useful, sometimes something completely unexpected. In the lobby you vote together on whether a block goal or a time limit decides the round. Chaos events can mix things up further. OneBlockRace is quick to understand, hard to master, and guaranteed to generate some stories. Playable solo or in teams.

FAQ
How is the winner determined?
You vote in the lobby: either a block goal, where first to reach it wins, or a time limit, after which the longest bridge takes the win.
What happens if I get an item I can't use?
Almost every item can somehow be used for bridge building or applied tactically. Experimentation pays off. Sometimes unusual items are a hidden advantage. Otherwise, the void works perfectly as a trash can for unwanted items.
Are there events for OneBlockRace?
Yes. Chaos events can shake things up at any point: unexpected mobs, altered drop rates, or other surprises. Which events are active is voted on in the lobby.
How many players does OneBlockRace support?
OneBlockRace works from 2 up to many players simultaneously. The most fun is with 3–6 players, when the competition gets really tight.
What happens if I fall into the void?
You die and respawn back on your platform. As a penalty your next item drops are skipped. It is worth being careful about what you do with items you cannot use.
Do all players get the same items?
Not by default. Each player gets random items independently of the others. There is however a game setting where all players receive the same item each drop.
Can I play in a team?
Yes. In team mode you build a bridge together. The team's total length decides the outcome, not the individual distance of each player.
